No Girls on the Run (GOTR) or Girls on Track (GOT) Program At Your School? Launch one!

A site is usually a school, but may also be a community center or other facility suitable for a running program. Each NEW program requires a minimum of 6 participants per site and is limited to a maximum of 12 (These numbers increase to minimum of 8 girls and a maximum of 15 after the first season).  We are more than happy to speak with you about the process of bringing Girls on the Run or Girls on Track to a new site, just send an email to Claire Johnson.

Step One:

Identify a Site Liason to assure a smooth implementation of the program by securing appropriate training space and serving as a link between coaches, participants, parents, PTA and Girls on the Run of Butte County.

Step Two:

Find a safe, dedicated space for running, as well as a rain location.

Step Three:

Provide a head coach and two assistant coaches for your site. Please note that all coaches and assistants are required to complete Girls on the Run® volunteer applications, background checks and certified training prior to participating in any GOTR® program.

Step Four:

Complete and return the New Site Application.  Our Executive Director will then contact you to follow up on your request to start a Girls on the Run or Girls on Track program at your site.
